Kick
Scooters
Kids and Young
People are laying their own claim to the scooter
industry.
One of the fast growing
segments are kick or push scooters.
These scooters do not
have a motor or engine, but they do allow the kids several
benefits.
The most obvious benefit
is they can get to places faster than
walking.
The kick and glide
motion allows for them to cut their travel time in
half.
However, the main
reasons kids like kick scooters are because they can do a
number of tricks with them and they are
foldable.
This foldability allows
them to put them in backpack when going into a store or
stuff it in a locker when at
school.
The most popular
kick scooters are Razors.
Although other brands
include Ninjas, Ciros, Kickboards, and
Xootrs.
This wide variety gives
young people the option of choosing scooters designed for
looks, for speed, for off-roading, or for
tricks.
Plus, since these kick
scooters do not have a motor they are very
inexpensive.
These scooters are
fairly easy to ride and allow for young people to get their
feet wet with scooters. Not surprisingly, one of the fastest
growing trends in the industry, is the increase in people
graduating from kick scooters to motorized or motor
scooters.
