Motorized
Scooters
Motorized Scooters
are essentially two wheeled vehicles that have a smaller
engine of 50cc or less or a smaller electric
motor.
The most common kinds
are seated scooters, mopeds, standup electric gas or
electric scooters, and segways.
Almost all of these
scooters can travel up to 5 to 20 miles and offer a
traveling distance of 5 to 20 miles before a charge or
fill-up.
This is where the
similarities end as the different models vary from their
function.
Segways are standing
vehicles that offer more range of motion and currently a
good amount of novelty.
Mopeds and seated
scooters offer a more common ride of a classic scooter with
a smaller motor or engine.
This smaller motor or
engine allows them greater gas mileage; however, they
sacrifice some speed compared to motor
scooters.
This smaller engine
does also bring a smaller price tag.
Motorized scooters with
the exception of the Segway can be purchased for $500 up to
$1,500.
Segways will generally
run you over $4,000 for a new
model.
Motorized Scooters
are probably the most economical scooter on the
market.
They offer many of the
advantages of motor scooters with great gas mileage and
excellent maneuverability.
Armed with a smaller
price tag, they definitely are well positioned to make their
mark in the industry.
