Electric motorized scooters

Electric motorized scooters come in several different forms; however, they all share the use of a battery to power their driving.  Forms of the electric motorized scooters include mopeds, seated scooters, stand up scooters, and segways.  Each is slightly different and we will look at each in turn.

Mopeds

Electric Moped models have a look similar to a motorcycle; however, they usually have the step through frame of a scooter.  These models can vary in somewhat in max speed and distance.  However, one example is fairly typical.  The X-Treme XB-500 scooters have a max speed over over 20 mph and have a traveling distance of up to 20 to 25 miles per charge.

Seated scooters

Electrical seated scooters have a look similar to a hybrid between a bicycle and a stand up scooter.  Manufacturers that produce these scooters include Razor, X-Treme, Currie, HCF, Go-Ped and Motobravo.  There are a number of different models including the X-port, HCF Cute 2 Wheel, X-Treme X-360, Razor E300, and the Bravo E12 Dolphin Scooters.

Most of these models seem to have an average max speed of 15 mph and a traveling distance of up to 15 to 20 miles.  These performance numbers are great for kids and young teens who are looking for an efficient ride to school.

Stand-up scooters

Electrical stand-up scooters are probably the most recognized electrical scooter of the motorized scooters segment.  These are simply a push scooter with a battery attached.  This functionality is a transition scooter for kids who have moved past the basic push and glide scooter.  Manufacturers of these scooters include Razor, Bravo, X-Treme, Go-Ped, and Viza Motors.

These models performance is slightly less than the seated versions. Most models have a max speed in the range 10 to 15 mph and have a traveling range of up to 8 to 10 miles. These numbers may seem unimpressive when compared to other high powered scooters. However, this scooters are probably set at just the right levels for their target audience: kids and young teens.

As you can see, there are many different forms of electrical motorized scooters.  This variety gives the consumer a number of options to choose from.
