Knowledge of what makes your motor scooter tick is invaluable.  Not only does it save you time in figuring out what may have gone wrong with it, it also lets you know what other things you should consider.  By having a basic working knowledge of your scooter, you can help prevent the breakdown of certain parts and maintain its functioning at an optimum level.

Although scooters can vary from design to design, most scooters are made up of essentially the same parts.  These parts include; the engine, the tires, the wheels, the front lights, the brake lights, the brakes, the storage area, and mirrors.  We may add other items to this list; however, our focus will be mainly on these parts.

The emphasis on each part will be finding out what is currently available on the market and what things you need to think about as an owner.  For instance, how often and exactly how can I maintain a certain part?  With this information, you should be able to have each part running for a long time.  But even if you have parts that have gone bad, we will discuss whether other replacement parts can be found and how you can get your hands on them.
