might seem that people riding scooters have very limited cargo space. After all, most scooters only come with cargo room in the front glove box or
under the seat storage. Sadly, many make the mistake that this is
all a scooter can store which is nothing further from the truth.
Here, are few ideas that can help you carry more cargo.
1. Use Messenger bags. These
were first made popular by bike messengers, but work great for scooter drivers as well. You can fill these with important documents or even your laptop
computer. This is ideal for business commuters because they are
rugged on the exterior to handle all conditions, tend to be very lightweight, and can be found for as little as

2. Scooter Trunk or Scooter Cases. These work similar to a small trunk in that you can store any number of items
in them ranging from gloves to lunch. The cost anywhere from $130
to $200 and are mounted on the back of scooters. This means they
are out of the way and provide additional cargo room.
3. Cargo
Baskets. These have long been popular in Europe and Asia for helping carry groceries or small supplies.

5. Scooter Gear Bag. These
bags fit right on your handlebars or your seat post and work great for getting a little extra cargo
room. They work much like a messenger bag and are just as cheap as
they can be had for $20.
6. Helmet Lock. These are great because they allow you to lock your helmet
to your scooter when you are not driving. This allows you more room
for your other storage areas as the helmet doesn’t have to be stuffed in those areas. Plus, you can find a good one in the price range of $20 to
$30.
As you can see, it
is very easy to add more storage space to your existing scooter. By
apply a few simple tools, you should be able to transport most of your regular everyday items.
